The Greene County Department of Emergency Services consists of 911 Dispatching, E-911 Addressing, and Field Coordination, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management and the Office of the Greene County Fire Coordinator. The 9-1-1 Dispatch Center is a specialized section of the Sheriff’s Office that provides centralized public safety communications to participating police, fire and emergency medical services within Genesee County. Call takers process approximately 800,000 emergency and non-emergency calls per year.Įssex County Emergency Service’s Emergency Operations Center is located in the Lewis Public Safety Building. The Center dispatches for (1) full time and (20) volunteer fire departments City of Elmira Police, Chemung County Sheriff's Office, Elmira Heights Village Police and the West Elmira Police Department. The Communications Center is directly responsible for the dispatching of 40 volunteer fire / EMS departments, two full-time fire departments, seven full-time police departments, and one part-time police department. The Sheriff’s Office Communications Center is responsible for answering 911 calls and all types of administrative calls for service in Chautauqua County and for dispatching appropriate police, fire and EMS service units. The 9-1-1 Center is a part of the Communications Division of the Sheriff's Office. The center handles all of the 911 calls for the City of Binghamton, New York and surrounding Broome County, fielding 1400 calls a day for 62 different police, fire and EMS departments.
